Wu-Yi Tea Information

Wu-yi also originally known as oolong, is a semi-fermented tea which is known for its rich taste and pleasant lasting aftertaste. The raw Wu-Yi leaves are sun-wilted and then bruised, which exposes their juices to the air, this causes the leaves to oxidize and start to turn brown like a cut fruit. They are only partially oxidized, giving them a rich, floral flavor. The tea is then fully dried which locks in the rich flavors that oolong tea is known to offer. The unique drying process that takes place in the creation of Wu-Yi produces a tea that has many metabolic stimulating attributes

How does Wu-Yi Tea work?

Our Wu-Yi has an incredibly high natural concentration of polymerized polyphenols. These polyphenol compounds have been clinically proven to activate enzymes that cause triglycerides to dissolve, producing fat-burning effects. They also improve metabolism which facilitates weight loss through natural body processes. Basically, drinking two cups of Wu-Yi tea each day not only aids in shedding stubborn pounds by boosting your metabolism, but it also blocks the fattening effects of carbohydrates.

How often should I drink Wu-Yi Tea

We advise that you drink the tea twice each day. It does contain a small amount of caffeine, so it is best to drink the tea in the morning or in the afternoon. You are able to drink the tea, either hot or cold, whichever you may prefer. You are able to add a little bit of unrefined sugar or honey to the tea, to alter the taste. When you brew the tea, make it just like any regular cup of tea, allowing it to brew for 2-3 minutes.

Is it safe and are there any side effects from drinking Wu-Yi Tea?

There are no stimulants or additives other than a very low level of caffeine in our product (50-70mg/serving), and it should not cause any problems. Although we have never heard of any complications or negative side effects to drinking Wu-Yi, we are legally required to recommend that you consult your physician first if you are pregnant, nursing, or taking medications, just to be sure.

If I am pregnant, is it safe for me to drink the tea?

Wu-Yi Tea is 100% natural, but we still do feel that you should contact your physician, so that they can provide you with proper nutritional advice during your pregnancy.
